a high octane award winning 10 Piece, mad grime/rudy ska band from Scotland. Spending the last few years honing their noise touring the length of the UK With a James B funk flavour, rub a dubbed with Reggae vibes, licks of Drum & Bass...echoes of Jazz, Hip-Hop, Swing & Soul. SuPa create an infectious energy with a second to none stage performance, from crowd favourite..laying down the infamous "Krypto-Hop" for all to stick their arse in its own postcode. Or the call & return chants that would leave the avid Human Traffic viewer scrambling to shout 'Noice waaaan brother'. Now go pack that in tight, with a bright & tasty horn section, a chameleon of a rhythm section, effortless soulful vocals, a rudeboy emcee and there is no wonder
Purple Felts
The Purple Felts are a six piece, heavy ska/funk band from Perth, Scotland. Blending a diverse range of influences, ranging from P-Funk to The Prodigy, “The Felts” create high-energy sonic grooves designed to keep you on your feet. They have toured their renowned, energetic live show across Scotland, earning esteem amongst audiences for their ability to combine precision performance with frenetic stage presence. Recent shows have taken them south of the border, with upcoming plans to tour the rest of the UK.
The Purple Felts launched their debut E.P. ‘The Jesters Game’ in August 2016, which saw the band receive airplay from various national radio stations including Amazing Radio hosted by Jim Gellatly and Heartland FM. It also saw the band’s profile rise to sharing stages with notable UK artists such as The Lafontaines, Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5, Mickey 9’s, Break the Butterfly and Dub Pistols. No strangers to bigger stages, “The Felts” have also taken their show to major Scottish festivals such as Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, ButeFest, Solas Festival, FakeFest and Carnival 56.
Currently, the band are working on their second E.P. scheduled to be released in early 2019, with plans to tour throughout the year.
