Event description

Description

“The word terrarium came into use during the late 1800’s. It is derived from aquarium replacing the prefix ‘aqua’ with ‘terra’ (meaning land).”

Come and spend an evening at Leeds Central Library’s Herbology Room making your very own living terrarium. Inspired by Wardian cases (traditionally seen as a means to transport and grow exotic plants in), learn to make a micro garden with The Plant Room.

The workshop is for all abilities and all the materials needed including plants, soil and vessels will be provided.
