The Hero Challenge at Sky Sports British Masters 2018

Event Information

The Hero Challenge return in 2018 with three events hosted in Edinburgh, London and Dubai. The innovative target golf competition will feature some of the world’s leading professional golfers and staged at iconic locations around the world.

Following the successful event staged at Edinburgh Castle in July the next event will be hosted on the evening of Tuesday 9th October during the British Masters supported by Sky Sports in South Dock, Canary Wharf the centre of London’s financial district where six leading stars of golf will go head to head in a purpose built arena with both a tee and green floating in the dock in front of 1,000 spectators with free admission on pre-registration.

Broadcast LIVE around the world the event will be staged in the heart of London’s financial district with music, lights and pyrotechnics adding drama to the show.

The Venue

Located in the heart of London’s financial district, South Dock, Canary Wharf is the home for many of the world’s leading financial institutions.

The tee and green will be constructed on the water allowing spectators to view the event from both sides of the dock. The viewing will be all standing with no seating available.

Please note this is an outdoor venue, so please come appropriately dressed in warm and waterproof clothing (as required). The event will go ahead in the event of inclement weather, unless it is deemed unsafe to do so.

Should the arena be full the show will be broadcast LIVE.

Disabled access

The unique setting may present access difficulties for some, particularly the elderly, people with disabilities and individuals with limited mobility. As noted above there will be no seating within the arena so ticket holders will be expected to stand throughout the show.

Facilities exist for the positioning of limited wheelchairs which will be directed by the event stewarding team on-site.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There is no minimum age for this event, all attendees will require a ticket, regardless of age.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

We recommend you use public transport to visit the event, there is no parking available on-site. The closest tube station is Canary Wharf.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Personal belongings and baggage subject to search.

Alcohol, glass bottles and sharp objects are not permitted.

The use of mobile phones and cameras are permitted during the Hero Challenge. For further information, please refer to the European Tour Mobile phone policy.

No dogs (other than guide dogs) or other animals are permitted. All promotional, commercial, political, religious or offensive items of whatever nature including, but not limited to, clothing, banners, signs, symbols and leaflets are prohibited. The ticket holder must comply with all relevant statutes, signs, safety announcements, directions of stewards and venue regulations whilst attending the event. Breach of any of these conditions or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall enable the venue or event management to revoke this ticket and to eject the holder without compensation.

Please note the venue is open to the elements so you are recommended to bring warm weather waterproof clothing.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Tickets are non-transferable. Any transfer of this ticket will render it void. The ticket remains the property of the event at all times.
