Event description

Description

Projects have increasingly extended beyond their traditional roots in construction and engineering to various industries such as management consulting, IT systems, marketing, finance, event management and even the legal and education professions. Often, the success and failure of such projects depends on the project management and strategic capability of the organisation. The sustainability of organisations will increasingly depend on their ability to deliver successfully through projects. Hence it is becoming increasingly important to enhance organisational capability and supplement it with systematic and applied knowledge and solid practice.

Working alongside students from our MBA programme, you will gain an understanding of the organisational methods required to support projects as well as the confidence and skills to efficiently and effectively manage difficult projects in demanding environments from start to finish. You will develop an in-depth understanding of many topics such as project planning, risk management, procurement, organisational skills, business communications, stakeholder engagement, business strategy, benefits realisation and leadership skills.

This course runs over two consecutive weekends, Friday to Sunday inclusive, and costs £1,500. All tuition materials are provided, as well as full catering. Discounts are available for University of Hertfordshire alumni and Business Academy members. Please register your interest by clicking the ticket link, and you will be sent further details and payment information.
