The Hidden Cost of Therapy
Sat 28 January 2017, 10:30 – 15:30 GMT
The Hidden Cost of Therapy and Counselling (to both Therapist and Client)
Financially, we all know that Counselling /Therapy can seem expensive. From the practitioners perspective, Training and additional costs of Therapy, Supervision, CPD can be a masive investment. To Private clients there is the obvious upfront cost of paying for sessions
What can sometimes be discounted and not addressed is the personal cost. The impact that therapy (from both perspectives) can have on an personal life, relationships and family is not always discussed either in training or with clients. It is important to our self-care, as therapists and ethical practitioners that we are aware of the possible consequences for ourselves and our clients.
This workshop (counted as 4 hrs CPD) will explore these 'hidden' costs and what we can do to avoid the price becoming more that we or our clients can afford or are willing to pay.
This workshopis for anyone.... trainees, people thinking of entering therapy, established practitioners.
