Event description

Description

The High Sheriff of South Yorkshire, Dr Julie MacDonald DL, is delighted to invite you to an unforgettable evening of choral music and sacred and musical arias, interspersed with beautiful instrumental intermezzi. Featuring the renowned University of Sheffield Chamber Choir directed by Mark McCombs and also students from Sheffield Music Academy, all proceeds from this unmissable event will help local charity Sheffield Young Carers provide vital support to some of the city’s most vulnerable young carers. We are delighted that Radio Sheffield’s Paulette Edwards has agreed to act as compere for the evening

A young carer is a child or young person between the ages of 8 and 25 who looks after someone at home (usually an adult) with a long-term illness, disability, mental ill health and/or substance misuse issues. With over 7,300 young carers living in Sheffield, your ticket will help to make a very real difference – as well as offering you a fantastic evening of entertainment!
