The Highly Sensitive Person's Book Group "Wintering - part 2"
Overview
As we've moved past solstice, we gather to honour the beauty of stillness and shadow, and what flirts with our awareness.
In this second Wintering circle, “Finding Light in the Longest Night”, we’ll explore the chapters where Katherine May turns toward the wisdom of darkness — the stories, myths, and quiet rituals that help us make peace with winter’s depth.
We’ll reflect, light candles, and notice the subtle signs within us and around us, at this time of the longest night.
Before this session, please read:
- November: Metamorphosis and Slumber
- December: Light, Midwinter and Epiphany
Themes in these chapters are: Darkness as teacher, the power of storytelling, the solstice as threshold, and finding stillness in the depths of winter.
These groups are free for members of HSPconnect.app
If you decide to join HSPconnect.app after the event, you’ll get a £10 discount code (the cost of your ticket, minus the Eventbrite fee). This means you can join for £39 instead of the usual £49 for a full year’s membership. Limited to one code per person.
This is part 1 of a 4-month book journey through Wintering by Katherine May. Sessions will be held on the last Sunday of the month in November, December, January and February.
There is an in-person small group day retreat on Saturday 3rd January 2026. A gentle day of rest and renewal inspired by Wintering — blending nature connection, reflection, and community in a cosy, nurturing setting.
