Event description

Description

From April 2018 Homelessness Law in England will change. The Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 places new duties upon councils to help them to prevent homelessness before it happens wherever possible, or relieve it when it isn't.

As Nottingham prepares for the Act’s implementation Nottingham City Council's Housing Aid service invites its partners working in the city of Nottingham with homelessness clients to attend one of its overview briefings.

The sessions are of particular relevance to the following individuals and services: front line advice and support workers, statutory bodies likely to be involved in the referral process, voluntary sector groups & charities involved in housing and homelessness, local Councillors & MPs, housing providers, care and support workers.

The briefings will be delivered by Gary Harvey, Nottingham City Council’s Head of Housing Solutions at the City Council's Loxley House offices.

Important note: These sessions are aimed at professionals working in Nottingham city only
