Leaving behind the traditional 9 - 5, Baka built a production company rooted in radical storytelling: one that challenges harmful media narratives, centres community experience, and reclaims the right to tell our own stories.

Baka’s journey isn’t just about filmmaking, it’s about agency, empowerment, and creating platforms where working-class and global majority voices can thrive. Join us for this inspiring Curious Creatives Network session.

The Hour: Spotlight invites a guest speaker each month to share their creative journey: the turning points, the challenges, the lessons learned. Expect honest, thought-provoking insights rather than polished keynotes, followed by space for Q&A and discussion.
