Event description

Description

Killing Moon are back at The House of St Barnabas with another set of shows for November

Headliner JONES having already amassed over 100 million Spotify streams and critical acclaim from the likes of Fader, Clash Magazine and IndieShuffle amongst many others, JONES has returned this year to release a series of EPs based on her favourite cities.

The first release, the London EP, featured single ‘Tender’ which was featured on 16 New Music Friday Spotify playlists on release day, including No.7 UK and No.10 General, with a total reach of 2.2 million listeners. It gained its first play on 1Xtra with DJ Target as well as an impressive Record of the Day write up. The second release, the New York EP, will be out on 27th June – tied in with her first ever headline show in the city with a selective industry guestlist and limited fan tickets available. JONES’ debut album New Skin, rooted in soul, reggae and nineties pop, featured singles Indulge, Melt and Hoops and won accolades and shout-outs from the likes of Sam Smith, Calvin Harris and Jools Holland – all of whom are in agreement about JONES’ status as a powerful female role model in the 21st Century.

Supporting will be Sophie Morgan a young singer-songwriter from the North West (currently residing in Widnes). Initially discovered by The Verve’s Simon Jones whilst singing at a wedding, Sophie released her debut EP ‘Annie’ in October 2017. This received support from BBC Introducing and her Waterboys cover ‘The Whole Of The Moon’ (on the EP) was heard by Mike Scott who subsequently invited her to open for the band on their 16-date European tour in October/November 2017 (8 countries; the London date took place at the Palladium).
