Allman Brown, influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan, Tracy Chapman and Bruce Springsteen alongside a wide range of literary writers and filmmakers, recently released ‘1000 Years’ - a record that brims with emotions, varying styles and heart-on-sleeve lyrical honesty. Whilst growing up in Hong Kong, Brown discovered and embraced musical visionaries such as Ryan Adams, Justin Vernon and Sufjan Stevens. His single ‘Sweetest Thing’ achieved numerous high profile Spotify playlists as well as support from BBC Radio 2, and reached 15 million streams by the end of the year, opening him up to new audiences around the globe.
Supporting is Karima Francis who has toured the UK and Europe extensively with her captivating performances. She has graced major stages, supporting such artists such as Paul Simon, Stereophonics, Jack Savoretti, Patti Smith and Amy Winehouse. Her legendary debut ‘The Author’ was released on independent record label Kitchenware Records, produced by the gifted Ken Nelson who has worked with Coldplay and Paulo Nutini. Francis performed on BBC’s iconic music show ‘Later with Jools Holland’ in 2010, and was named as a number one act to watch in 2009 by the Observer.
