The House of the Identity of Things
Event Information
Description
If you look at an object you live with from a different perspective, or take it apart, it is a different thing. It is the same with people. And to understand life, the identity of things, it is something you must do.
A boy may lock his door, may be warm in bed, may tuck himself up, may draw the clothes over his head, may think himself comfortable and safe, but what will softly creep and creep his way to him and tear him open?
Our visceral new work, inspired by Charles Dickens' Great Expectations, examines the unrest of night-time perspectives. Sounds and visions. The examination of the real identity of demons: a raw, rampaging mother figure obsessively cleaning, an oozing stranger reaching for heart and liver, the forsaken dreams of sunken dead relatives whispering from the marshes. Now is the time to make sense of the identity of things.
A promenade performance in a unique tucked-away venue in St Leonards on Sea. Cash bar.
Limited number of free tickets for young people.
