Event description

Description

Join our Designers in Residence, Jamie Hudson and Orlando Lloyd, for an induction of the Publishing Studio as part of the exhibition, The House That Heals The Soul. This induction will teach you how to use some of the equipment in the space, and give an insight into some of the processes for making DIY publications. At the end of the session you will have the knowledge to self-publish your own edition. Once inducted, you are free to return use the publishing studio during opening hours. We only request that you leave one copy of whatever you make in The House That Heals The Soul to go into our expanding archive of self produced work.

When using the facilities there is a small cost of 3p per sheet of paper used. This contribution helps to keep the studio running. Access to the equipment and our designers' expertise are free. Payments are cash only.

For an oppurtunity to use our Risograph facilities please book onto one of the Wednesday evening specialist workshops.

The House That Heals the Soul is both an exhibition and a functioning publishing studio. See our website for more information.

We are located in Leeds city centre, just a 6 minute walk from Trinity Leeds, 7 minutes from Leeds Train Station and 7 minutes from Leeds Bus Station. There is a wheelchair accessible lift to all public floors at The Tetley. There are toilets on all floors and accessible toilets on the ground and second floors. A hearing loop is available for use on request at reception. Large print versions of our exhibition guides are also available in the first floor gallery.
