The Human Brain: An Owners Guide

A whistle stop tour of some of the interesting and useful information we have learnt about how our brain works – from neurobiology, evolutionary biology and developmental psychology.

In this interactive and participatory session we will explore such questions as:

· Why don’t we see things even when they are staring us in the face?

· Why we cry?

· Why is change difficult?

· How the most negative parts of ourselves have a positive intent?

· How we learn?

· Why are early childhood experiences so impactful?

· Why is criticism more easily heard than praise?

· What are some of our fundamental (hard-wired) drivers?

Hopefully you will leave this session being amazed by your wonderful brain and having enjoyed learning a little more about what makes you tick.
