About this event

  • Event lasts 20 minutes

Explore the hidden history of a remarkable craft linking East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire. In the late 1960s a speedy hovercraft whizzed passengers directly between Hull and Grimsby, making the perilous trip across the murky waves of the River Humber in just over 20 minutes.

Join Paul Drury-Bradey of the Humber Hovercraft project as he tells the story of this extraordinary vessel via images, anecdotes and a co-created community 'zine, supported by Grimsby Creates.
