Description

Single Polymer Composites: Invention, Exploitation and the Future by Dr Peter Hine

The Ian Ward Lecture is an annual lecture, hosted by the Soft Matter Physics Group at Leeds, held in honour of the outstanding contribution of Professor Ian Ward F.R.S to the Group, to the University as a whole and more widely to the National and International Polymer Physics community.

Dr Peter Hine will introduce you to the new class of lightweight Curv composites materials that were pioneered and commercialized by the Soft Matter Research Group at the University of Leeds, and are now being developed into a cellulose based version of these novel composite materials.

There will be a small drinks reception after the lecture.

This year will also be Professor Ian Ward’s 90th birthday, and you are invited to leave a message for Professor Ward on the noticeboard at https://padlet.com/PhysicsLeedsUni/BestWishesIanWard
