Description

Magical Objects - Investment in making and symbolic representation

This talk will look at why we make or create objects, and our emotional invest in them, their symbolic significance and transitional or transformative power. Examples will cover 'found' objects, magical thinking and ritual as well as the value and significance invested in objects and their transformational capacity present within art psychotherapy.

The talk will be richly illustrated, and offer a space to think about our psychological and emotional investment of objects.
