Event description
The 55th ECCA spring conference will take place as a virtual event on May 27th from 14:00-17:30.

About this event

Continuous innovative initiatives have allowed the coil coating process to further produce high-quality products with a low environmental impact. But with the Covid-19 pandemic changing the rules of nearly everything, what does the future hold for this rapidly evolving industry?

The ECCA conference will offer an insightful perspective on this question, structured as an engaging half day event with the following speakers and topics:

  • Prof. Dr. Welfens (Wuppertal University) : “Macroeconomic aspects of the coronavirus epidemic''.

Presentation details: After a sharp global economic recession in the context of the Corona shock in 2020, there are new prospects for economic recovery in Europe, the US and Asia. The analysis will highlight key aspects, including innovation dynamics and the critical role of economic policy.

  • Jeroen de Gruijl (USP Marketing Consultancy) : “Covid-19 impact: Short-term setback vs. long-term opportunities”

Presentation details: Like many industries, the construction industry has had a though year. Although markets are recovering to some extent, there is a change in how stakeholders behave and how they orientate. In this presentation, USP will show the impact of COVID-19 on the construction volumes and how the construction industry is changing.

Further on the agenda:

  • ECCA Committees’ presentations
  • ECCA statistics

There will be an opportunity to submit question to speakers via a text-chat function of the live stream.
