Course overview:
The way we show up at work is just as important as the actual work we do. How we engage in meetings, how we present information, how we show the best of ourselves… all of these skills are critical in literally any role. We want to help you be brilliant at that. We’ll give you super practical, tangible tips and tricks that you can start using tomorrow to help you in this space. We’ll draw on the expertise of actors and their preparation techniques to help you enhance your authentic impact and show up in the way you want to every day.
Here is what the session will cover:
Welcome and Introduction
To kick off the day, we will be connecting with our learners, understanding their needs and objectives, and setting the environment so everyone can get the best out of the session.
Opening exercise
An energising exercise to get into the learning space and set the tone for the session.
Impactful content
For the first module of the day, we will explore how to shape your content so it is most impactful, particularly focusing on using storytelling to bring your information to life.
Impactful you
We will then go into how we can better use our voice and body when seeking to have impact; if your content and the delivery don’t align, your message can get lost. Here we will draw on skills from this stage - don’t worry, not to become performers! Just to build our toolkit.
Impactful anywhere
For the last part of the day, we’ll look at how to make an impact in any place, any time. We will bring real world situations into the room and you’ll get a chance to practice being impactful even if you haven’t prepared for it.
