The importance of sleep for children on the spectrum

March 23rd

3.45pm - 4.30pm

In children with autism 44–83% have problems sleeping. Sleep deprivation appears to intensify the behavioural problems of autistic children, thus improved sleep may improve a children’s behaviour, alleviating parental stress as a result. The prevalence of sleep difficulties in children with autism is double their non-autistic peers. In this webinar Dr Neil Stanley will focus specifically on sleep and children with autism.
