Why has Technology always taken a backseat when it comes to an Employees learning and Development training?
Your employees can always learn about Health & Safety, how to present themselves at a presentation or how to hold a meting, but what about the digital tools that support of this? What use is it if the employee does not know how to correctly send the meeting invitation or how set up a PowerPoint file where everyone can collaborate remotely? Employees are having to embrace a number of technologies for most of their work day, so it’s up to us to get them trained on this technology. It goes way beyond providing a walkthrough of your intranet system or holiday management tool on their first day and then expecting then to understand the application and get working. If you can provide something that’s quick, regular and gives them just the information they need, when they need it – you can provide your employees with a resources to support them.
If your employees can understand technology and feel empowered using your workplace technology, they will be more productive and happier employees.
This interactive session will look to provide the scenarios we see with employees using technologies and how we feel you can overcome this digital gap. In many cases you have the tools and knowledge in place but you may not be prioritizing this or taking full advantage of them. We will explore some new ideas when it comes to delivering training, getting your employees more engaged with learning but also looking at the bigger picture when it comes to a 21st Century Digital Workplace in 2017.
