Is private equity good or bad?
Is the private equity business model sustainable?
The Private Equity market has gone through significant changes over the past few years. At its peak huge household names were taken private on the back of massive buyout funds, but since the banking crisis and subsequent recession both the ability to finance deals and profit from transactions has meant that the industry has had to go back to basics in order to remain an attractive asset class for investors.
This is a key event for people involved with private equity, entrepreneurs who seek to obtain private equity finance and those with a broader interest in finance and business.
6.45pm Tea and coffee
7.15pm Formal start
8.30pm Networking and drinks
The event will be led by Bharat Shah who has been on the inside of a number of private equity deals and has been closely involved in managing private equity backed firms. During this session, Bharat will guide us through the transaction process and highlight key features of the current private equity market place.
In addition to his private equity experience, Bharat has held a number of executive and non-executive positions, and is currently deputy chairman of the Audit Commission and previously was a senior executive of Eastman Kodak.
When & Where
Warwick London Alumni Network (W.L.A.N)
The Warwick London Alumni Network (W.L.A.N) was formed in late 2009. We develop relationships amongst members and offer a balanced programme of business-oriented and social events for alumni and others with connections to Warwick and WBS.
The aim of the group is to build on the work of the Corporate Relations Team to create an identity & meeting place for London based Warwick graduates (both University & Business School).
We seek to encourage graduate engagement by organising interesting and fun events and other initiatives so that they too may give something back that will benefit the wider Warwick graduate community in London.
Don't let the Warwick experience end just because you have graduated ;)
