Event description

Description

'The Integration of Health and Social Care or Hunting the Snark!' is a Public Lecture by David Croisdale-Appleby.

This talk will take place in Greenbank Lecture Theatre on the University of Central Lancashire campus on Wednesday 13th March 2019, from 4:30pm to 6pm.

A number of political drivers are influencing policy in relation to the integrated care agenda. Professor David Croisdale-Appleby sets out his view of these developments by drawing on his involvement in informing and influencing policy and the initiatives in which he has occupied leadership positions.

This lecture considers how innovations such as those contributed by David, including his work in dementia care, support for those with learning disabilities, general practice, hospital discharge and social work education, can serve the health and social care profession itself. He will also suggest how we can address the challenges of commissioning and providing integrated care in the future.

David is a great public advocate for the health and social care professions and sees the challenges of austerity as an opportunity to support the integrated care agenda.
