Situated in small part of Southern Greece, the city state of Sparta ruled its dominions for over 400 years from roughly 800 BC - 350 BC, and was renowned throughout the known world for its fearsome male warriors, powerful women, and a unique societal model of solid governance.

Sparta has inspired myths, legends, criticisms and praise throughout the last 2500 years, so let's unpack it and explore this fascinating period of history.

Sharing my screen with you on Zoom, I'll be using good-quality images to guide you through the various topics.

HOW TO JOIN

Zoom is a very easy-to-use online meeting space, and after you RSVP to the tour (by paying the £5.50 by card in advance) I'll send you a link by email, which you can click on at the arranged time and date of the tour. Zoom will then automatically connect your computer to the tour, without you having to do anything, but you can also simply and freely download it onto your computer if you like.
