Description

The Investable Social Entrepreneur -Introducing Builder Capital

Thursday 10th July 2014

2pm – 5pm

Kindly hosted by Mazars at

Tower Bridge House, St Katherine’s Way, London E1W 1DD

In their book, “The Investable Social Entrepreneur”, Robbie Davison and Helen Heap explain why they think that the money that is currently on offer by the social finance market does not meet the investment needs of most social enterprises. They introduce the concept of Builder Capital, explain what it is, why it is needed and the difference it will make to the financial sustainability of social enterprises.

This event provides the opportunity to debate the issues raised in the book. We have assembled a panel which will provide the views of social enterprise, social investors, grant funders and local authority procurement/commissioning. Attendees at the event will be encouraged to get involved and speak up!

The goal is to shape the development of Builder Capital so that it meets both the investment needs of social enterprises and the return requirements of investors (social and financial). Builder Capital will be discussed as one important part of the next stage development of the social investment marketplace.

Please join us to find out how Builder Capital will:

vFund effective & sustainable social enterprises

vGenerate social and financial returns for investors

vProvide the right money at the right time to fund long-lasting social innovation

Who should attend?
