Come to Wallington’s atmospheric Edwardian reference library, and you will see scenes of mysterious, compelling shadow theatre inspired by H G Wells’ famous tale of The Invisible Man. Using music, shadows and words, Play of Light Theatre explores the temptations and the traps of invisibility with local community groups. What could you gain by studying to become invisible?
What could you lose? What if you couldn’t change back? A tiny figure scuttles through a vast urban labyrinth, an empty head is filled with visions of greatness, and a lurid laboratory of experimentation makes clothes seem to dance and objects fly. Finally, our solid citizens bring about the slow, extraordinary end of the invisible man, who had dreams of limitless power…
All ages welcome
