Event description

Description

If you think disability in the creative industry matters, this event is for you. ALL WELCOME.

Did you know 1/5 of the UK population is disabled? That's some 13 million people.

But they make up a fraction - just 0.06%! - of people featured in advertising.

So at our next event, on 22nd May, we're asking - where are they?!

Join us to find out. We'll be hearing from Steven Lacey, an entrepreneur and strategist who’s shaking up how the marketing world treats disability, as well as experts from RNIB, the UK’s biggest sight loss charity.

We’ll be talking how agencies should include disabled people - and practical tips on how to make creative that’s actually representative.

Because with proper inclusion and accessibility, everything we do is more relevant. And with it, our work means something to the millions of us with a disability. The millions who shouldn't be invisible.

Plus, our speakers will be telling us how they made it to where they are.

All are welcome. Join us for a drink, connect with diverse people from throughout the creative industries, and be inspired.

Steven Lacey is founder of The Outsiders, a leading insight agency challenging brands to think about people on society's margins.

RNIB is the UK's biggest sight loss charity.
