Land of Hope and Technology is an event about the re-birth of British entrepreneurism.
In the last few decades of the last century, the UK had an extraordinary cultural impact upon the world, while its universities helped educate some of the planet’s most important people. Today, it is playing a key role again – ethnically diverse, entrepreneurial ingenuity is flourishing in the Land of Hope and Technology.
Something has changed in Britain, it has embraced the entrepreneur. According to the global entrepreneurial index, between 2011 and 2015, the UK moved from being the 12th to the fourth most entrepreneurial country in the world. The land that led the world into the first and second industrial revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries, the land and that gave the world the Beatles, Shakespeare, Brunel, Darwin, Newton, Faraday, Alexander Fleming, Alan Turing and Tim Berners Lee, is once again leading the world forward.
