About this Event

THIS IS A MEMBERS' EVENT FOR MEMBERS OF THE FRIENDS (and one guest per member) AND STAFF OF THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES.

Join the Chairman and Trustees of the Friends for the traditional end-of-year event to thank members and staff for their help and support during 2019. A buffet will be followed by a talk given by Dr Chris Smith, lecturer in history at Coventry University. He will discuss his book, The Last Cambridge Spy, the first biography of John Cairncross, a member of the infamous Cambridge Ring of Five and considered to be one of the most damaging spies of the twentieth century. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session and book signing. The book is published by The History Press.
