The Last St Denys Clean Air Café of 2019
Date and time
We've kickstarted conversations about cleaner air & healthy streets in St Denys. Now is the time to decide what should happen next!
About this event
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the last St Denys Clean Air Café for 2019! Over the past few months we have talked a lot about creating a more liveable and healthy St Denys and it feels like the neighbourhood is on the cusp of real change.
As this is our last event we'd like to know how we can support your ideas for change in 2020. We have sparked conversation & local action for cleaner air, and we hope those projects will keep on growing in the future. For example, we'd like to offer a group of residents a chance to visit the Waltham Forest Mini Holland scheme - in order to experience a real low-traffic neighbourhood. Would you like to take part and then share your experiences with your friends & neighbours in St Denys?
As this is the last café we'll also be celebrating everything we've achieved so far! Everyone is welcome, especially if you missed out on other Clean Air Cafés.
Breathing Spaces is a community project in St Denys, which has at its heart clean air, liveable streets and increased health & wellbeing. We are working with residents, community groups and businesses in the neighbourhood to collect data on local air pollution and test community approaches for cleaner air. We want to capture everyone's concerns, comments and ideas for change, and would love to try out some of your creative solutions for healthy streets.
The project is run by The Southampton Collective in partnership with the University of Southampton and Solent University, and is funded by Nesta through its Connected Communities Innovation Fund.
Tickets are free but please do register so we know how many cakes to bring!
Any questions please email breathe@socollective.org.uk and one of the team will get back to you as soon as we can.
Thank you!
