Description

Join us at Waterstones Brighton for this unique opportunity to attend the launch of Neil Ansell's wonderful new book The Last Wilderness. Neil has travelled in over fifty countries, written for the Guardian, the New Statesman and the Big Issue. He is an award winning television journalist with the BBC where he works in news and current affairs and also contributes to nature programmes. His last book Deep Country was published to rave reviews. Countryfile described it as ‘A gem of a book, an extraordinary tale. Ansell’s rich prose will transport you to a real life Narnian world that C.S.Lewis would have envied. Find your deepest, most comfortable armchair and get away from it all’. The Last Wildernessis a gorgeous nature memoir about the changing landscape of the Scottish Highlands, juxtaposed against Neil's struggle to come to terms with his hearing loss. Neil will be interviewed by author and journalist Alexandra Heminsley as well as taking questions from the audience.

This event is free to attend and will include a glass of wine on arrival. Please click on the link below to register your name on the guest list or email us at events.brighton@waterstones.com as we expect demand for places to be high.
