Event description
This is an interactive and provocative session where Harthill will introduce you to the concept of the Leadership Development Framework.

About this event

This event offers you the opportunity to develop an understanding of how engagement with the LDF at a personal and professional level can enable you to create and hold more transformative space for clients within your coaching practice.

This is an interactive and provocative session where Harthill will introduce you to the concept of the Leadership Development Framework and its role within the Self-Authoring journey. For us this journey started with asking ourselves:

  • What is the world asking of us as coaches at the moment?
  • What are you currently doing to address what the world is asking of us as coaches at the moment?
  • What is vertical development, why the LDF and how might it address what the world is asking of us?

We will discuss how this journey has helped enable our clients to build their capability and capacity to be more at ease and deal more effectively with complex situations. This is an important part of our coaching stance in a world of increasing uncertainty and complexity.

Our inquiry explored some of the following:

  • If our meaning making underpins everything we do, why do we let other people dictate how we make meaning?
  • Who or what shapes and polishes our and our clients’ mental models?
  • How might this affect us in the workplace…. Around time? Around energy? Around innovation?

Re-engaging with our own stories has involved seeing them through fresh perspectives and helping our clients to do the same. What we have learned has given deeper understandings of polarities such as shadow & light and both/and; and how these affect our clients.

We look forward to sharing this journey with you.

Ian Mitchell works closely with senior leaders and their teams, acting as a supportive, yet appropriately challenging, systems focused coach with whom they can work through the complex issues and challenges that arise in times of organisational or personal growth, transition and change. Acquired over many years his key coaching skill is to help his clients to create for themselves time and space in which to make key decisions in otherwise complex or stressful situations.

Sian Lumsden has 25+ years as a highly relational executive and team coach, coach trainer and leadership development consultant, predominantly coaching senior leaders and their teams in large, complex organisations, across most industry sectors, operating at European and global levels. Her work generates deep inquiry into compelling purpose in times of change and complexity whilst creating spaces where teams can connect, think and rewire how they work together.

Rebecca Stevens is an experienced business psychologist, leadership coach and organisational development consultant. She currently co-leads Harthill’s coaching practice as well as designing and delivering coaching and leadership development interventions for a broad range of cross sector clients. She has held senior Organisation and Leadership Development roles for several blue chip and global organisations, as well as working independently.
