Go behind the scenes at the famous Leiths cookery school and discover if an exhilarating chef’s diploma is right for you.

About this Event

Join us for an inspiring and fact-filled event suitable for anyone considering the Leiths Two Term Diploma in Food and Wine.

This event is ideal for anyone currently taking the Leiths Foundation Certificate or anyone who has previously completed the Leiths Essential Certificate.

It is also aimed at anyone working in the food industry who wishes to boost their career prospects, from junior chefs who wish to learn advanced techniques and Michelin standard plating, to magazine recipe testers looking for a new career confidence.

If you’re new to Leiths, we’ll give you a fascinating tour of our famous cookery school. Next, everyone will have the chance to watch our chefs prepare and plate an advanced dish in our demonstration room.

Then there will be a panel show, chaired by Leiths Managing Director Camilla Schneideman. She’ll be joined by the following Leiths alumni:

  • Esther Clark, talented food stylist and Deputy Food Editor at BBC Good Food
  • Marcie Barrington, who’s had an amazing career across the food industry, teaching at Divertimenti, cheffing in Valencia, and setting up the Alta Mediterranea food consultancy
  • Alistair MacVicar, who holds a PhD in Climate Science as well as the Leiths Diploma, helps run Jekkas Herb Farm in Bristol, teaches cookery masterclasses, and is about to start a herbal tea business

Guests can also have a 1-2-1 chat with a senior Leiths teacher. This is an opportunity to ask questions, discuss your career goals, and discover if you are ready for the Two Term Diploma, which is just one level below a full degree.

A careers advisor will be on hand to discuss the support that Leiths List can provide to graduates, and our Registrar will be available to discuss fees and payment arrangements.

We can also advise on ways to use online learning through the Workshop app to meet the Two Term entry criteria.

With time to sip a glass of wine and mingle, this is a great way to find out if you are ready to take on the challenge!
