Rob Alder, Head of Apprenticeships & Relationships at ACCA

Rob joined ACCA last year to promote ACCA’s apprenticeship offer across England, Wales and Scotland as well as all non-graduate entry points into ACCA.

Rob has wide experience of working with Employers and Training providers to promote the Accounting Profession having worked as head of Business Development at AAT for a number of years.

Jim Hinchliffe, Commercial Director at Kaplan Professional Education

Jim qualified as an accountant in 2002 and started with Kaplan 3 days later as a tutor in the Leeds office. Jim has held a variety of positions within Kaplan over the years, but for the last 8 years, Jim has worked as a Commercial Director.

A significant part of Jim’s role is maintaining Kaplan’s position as the UK’s largest provider of ACCA training, working closely with ACCA and internal teams within Kaplan to ensure that Kaplan’s ACCA courses deliver the best student experience and achieve the highest pass rates.

Jo Scott, Client Director at Kaplan Professional Education

Jo joined Kaplan in February 2019 and leads our industry market, providing clients with strategic guidance on apprenticeships at all levels. She specialises in helping organisations optimise their programmes—whether they are just starting out with apprenticeships or looking to move to a market-leading provider to enhance outcomes. Jo is passionate about partnership working, ensuring clients benefit from a provider that prioritises service excellence, student engagement, and measurable progress.

Since 2021, Jo has also overseen the Kaplan apprenticeship recruitment team, working closely with employers to embed apprenticeships as a key part of talent acquisition and to attract a diverse, inclusive candidate pool. She is particularly focused on supporting the rollout of new Level 4+ apprenticeship pathways, helping clients unlock advanced development opportunities for their teams.
