The Life of Alfred the Great through Places in the UK - An Online Tour
Event Information
About this Event
Join me for another fascinating online tour, this time exploring the action-packed life and times of Alfred the Great (849 - 899AD), from his childhood, to fighting off the Vikings, to his rule as king of a greatly united Anglo-Saxon land (which would later become known as Angle-land, or England).
Taking you to places of ancient royal palaces, battlefields, ports, towns, cities and churches (with some surviving Anglo-Saxon treasures), we'll dive into an incredibly formative few decades in English history.
Sharing my screen with you and using good-quality images, I'll be guiding you through this fascinating period.
