Event description
The Little Robot and the Mars Mystery: a virtual storytelling session for primary school aged children

About this Event

How can we look for life on other planets, explore strange planetary surfaces and test robots for space by going deep below the Earth’s surface?

In this storytelling virtual workshop you will join a little robot beginning a journey to Mars and learn more about space research that takes place at the Boulby Underground Laboratory, 1.1km below ground.

The session will contain a story reading, time for questions and answers, and some suggestions for extra activities for children to do at school or at home.

The storytelling session is suitable for children in primary school and will last for around 60 minutes. It will take place via Zoom - we will send details of how to join to all those who register.

If you are a teacher, and want to invite your whole school or class once term has started, please email visitral@stfc.ac.uk and we may be able to arrange a specific session.

If you're not able to join the webinar live, but would like a recording of it, please register and select the option to receive the recording on the order form.
