About this Workshop
This gathering is an introduction to a series of workshops weaving together two essential strands of healing: the analytic and the shamanic, the psychological and the spiritual, the body (physical, emotional, mental) and the soul.
Hosted by Journey member Julia Stadler (Psychotherapist) and co-facilitated by Maya Abou Chedid (Medicine Woman and Shamanic Practitioner), this session draws on years of dedicated practice—each rooted in her own field and deepened through their collaboration at the crossroads of psychotherapy and shamanic plant medicine retreats. Together, they have witnessed how these two approaches, when brought into genuine dialogue, open a dimension of healing greater than either could achieve alone.
This workshop is an invitation to therapists and practitioners who are called toward a deeper responsibility: to navigate our own psyches with as much courage as we accompany others into theirs. To explore not only how we help clients integrate their experiences, but also how we integrate our own with ethics, intention, and humility at the centre.
What You’ll Learn
- How therapy and spirituality can meet as a living bridge between conscious and subconscious, mind and body
- The role of plant medicine in opening new dimensions of healing, and the necessity of proper preparation and integration
- Why personal and professional growth are inseparable in this work
