Event description

Description

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are vitally important to the growth and stability of the UK economy. Their decisions to pay (or not) the Living Wage, have implications and learning for every sector and industry.

On 7 October, Dr Andrea Werner (Middlesex University) and Dr Ming Lim (University of Liverpool) will be sharing their new research into SME’s experiences of implementing the Living Wage, including the benefits, challenges and motivations for doing so. The research will include analysis of the impact of paying the Living Wage on organisational culture and will look at the strategies SMEs use to make the Living Wage work for their business.

Please join us to discuss these and other findings with SMEs, industry bodies, third sector representatives, academics and policy makers. The event will also feature live testimonials, civil society speakers as well as an opportunity for networking over lunch from 13:30.

For further information on the event, please contact Eva Herman e.herman@mdx.ac.uk, 02084114146
