THE LOCAL LEGACY WALKS: Canning Town, E16
Event Information
About this Event
A series of neighbourhood guided walking sessions in and around Canning Town to help improve your health and wellbeing, as well as reduce social isolation - supported by Clarion Futures and Community Links.
This isn't simply a walk, but an overdue investment in yourself. A time to ditch the daily tasks and intentionally prioritise YOU. We welcome women from all walks of life and nationalities over the age of 18.
Walking has a multitude of benefits including burning calories, improving heart health, reducing blood sugar and helping mental health. Most importantly it's FREE!
Our weekly walks begin on the 26.10.2020 for 8 weeks. Each session will last 60-mins. We will be meeting outside the Community Links building, where there will be a short prelude before we set out on our walk. Please arrive promptly as we will not wait for late arrivals.
All participants must register so we can maintain COVID-19 safety standards and ensure you are kept up-to-date. Contact details of your walking facilitator for the day will be sent a few days prior to the event.
Mummy’s Day Out - an organisation that empower, encourage and inspire mothers - will also be delivering child-friendly sessions. For more information visit: http://mummysdayout.eventbrite.com
We hope you will join us, as we continue walking our way to a legacy of healthy habits.
NB: To partake in our walks you must adhere to COVID-19 safety precautions and social distancing protocols. For more information email: info@lbs4peace.org
