Overview

Join BBOWT Community Network for a free online skill-sharing session all about the newly launched LNRS

What are the LNRSs? How can community and volunteers use them?

The Local Nature Recovery Strategies (LNRS) are a system of spatial strategies being developed in England, as part of the Environment Act 2021, to identify and map areas where habitat creation and improvement can best benefit nature and the wider environment. These strategies aim to guide actions and investment for nature's recovery at a local level, contributing to the national Nature Recovery Network.

In the BBOWT area each of our 3 counties has it's own LNRS, launched in November 2025 after 2 years of planning and consultation. This session will be hosted by Matthew Stanton (Berks LNRS & BBOWT Director) and Chloe Edwards (Oxon LNRS). They will tell us about the strategy which has been developed in their county and how to use the tools and guides for work with nature in your local area.
