The London Ambient Orchestra are a community of improvisers and artists reflective of London’s rich cultural diversity. The collective features conservatory educated classical musicians together with members of Penguin Cafe Orchestra and collaborators with Lubomyr Melnyk & Tony Visconti, this is an orchestra but not as you know it… The LAO is an electroacoustic melange where classical instruments stand side by side with pedalsteel guitar, samplers and loops.
