Event Information
About this Event
The UK screening of "The Long Haul", a human rights documentary inspired by the life of a human rights founding father, Sir Nigel Rodley, as we approach what would have been his birthday on 1st December, kicks off an eventful weekend of distinguished international and prominent Guest Speakers discussing and taking questions on the current threats posed to Human Rights in the UK today. As the Overseas Operations et al Bill makes its way through Parliament with much debated implications for the UK's international obligations and the rule of law. hear the guest speakers even put questions to each other. The weekend ends with a People's Assembly on Human Rights, a unique opportunity to take part and decide an agenda for human rights priorities going forward.
