The Long Term Confidence Project
Wed 3 May 2017, 19:00 – 21:00 BST
This workshop is an opportunity for you to take part in an exciting new programme where you will develop the skills required to assist me in running my events. The idea is that over time you will develop the confidence and skills to deliver these events yourself under minimal supervision.
Those of you that attend my events will know they are highly interactive, social events designed to push the limits of what you're comfortable doing in a supportive, encouraging environment. I always try to push people to the edge of what they're capable of, but no further than that.
How do I benefit from this?
Coming to this workshop has the following benefits:
• You will become part of a mastermind group.
This is a group of highly motivated, forward thinking individuals that have come together to accelerate their progress towards a desired goal. In our case, the goal is to accelerate our personal growth as fast as possible.
• You will receive ongoing support from the group.
I will build a community out of the attendees of this workshop that will proactively support each other's personal growth. The group will also have a peer support system that I will champion to ensure people get the help they need.
• You will form lasting friendships with others.
There will be plenty of fun exercises throughout my workshops. If you fully immerse yourselves in these exercises then you'll experience the intense emotions allow you to bond with others very quickly.
• You will be invited to powerful events tailored to you.
The purpose of me running these workshops is to create events that are tailored to you. These events are designed to implement the my experiential learning method, which will rapidly accelerate your personal growth.
How is the workshop structured?
This is a facilitated workshop with the following structure:
This covers a short introduction to the workshop itself, its purpose, and the agenda for the workshop. There will also be a brief background about myself, and why I run the workshops.
We will then shift our attention on what you guys are looking to get out of the workshop. I will be taking notes to ensure that I cover what you guys want as best as I can throughout the workshop.
Getting To Know Each Other
To get to know each other, there will be a series of fun exercises that you will participate in. The goal of these exercises is simply to get a feel for what the other people in the room are like, as well as remember their names of course.
The exploratory section will be a peer coaching session that will be used to determine what support you guys need to assist me in the events that I run, and how you can best get that support.
I will also run some interactive exercises to implement the ideas I've given you, as well as cover what you guys said you wanted out of the workshop at the beginning.
I will briefly recap what we've covered during the session. We will then discuss the various action points raised throughout the session, and you will each decide what action points you wish to pursue. This will be followed up at the next session.
Once the workshop ends there will be an opportunity to mingle with fellow attendees and eat some pizza. You'll also have the chance to ask the workshop leader, Darren, any questions you have.
Will I be given support after the event?
Of course. You'll be invited to join a Facebook group for additional help in completing the tasks assigned to you. Also, if you're really struggling you can drop me an email. If email correspondence is insufficient then I will provide phone and face-to-face support. This support will be on a limited basis to prevent abuse.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
This event can be attended by anyone that is 16 years old or older. Those under the legal age limit to consume alcohol must not attempt to purchase it at the venue. If you attempt to purchase alcohol and you're under the legal age limit, you'll be asked to leave the workshop, and may be barred from future workshops.
What are my transport options for getting to and from the event?
You are advised not to drive to the venue. Dalston Kingsland overground station is very close to the venue, and Dalston Junction overground station is a short walk away. Moreover, the venue is well served by bus routes, as it is on the main road. You could also cycle to the venue, as there's plenty of cycle parking nearby.
What can I bring into the event?
You are strongly advised to bring your own pen and paper. You may also use a tablet or mobile phone to take notes. Laptops and audio/video recording devices are strictly prohibited. Also, you are encouraged to buy your food and drink at the venue, but you bring your own food and drink should you wish to.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
You will receive my contact details in the 48 hours leading up to the event.
What's the refund policy?
I don't allow refunds. You may request an exchange, should the facility be available.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
I will have a register, so don't worry about that.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
I'm under no obligation to transfer your ticket to someone else, but I will do my best if you give me at least 48 hours notice before the even begins.
You are responsible for finding someone to transfer your ticket to, but if my event is oversubscribed then I will allow you to transfer with someone on the waitlist.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
This is not allowed. If someone comes and their name doesn't match the contact information on the register then they will have to purchase their ticket again or leave the venue.
