EUROPEAN PREMIERE SCREENING FOLLOWED BY LIVE Q&A WITH THE TEAM AND DR NEMAM GHAFOURI
In the Middle Eastern region of Iraqi Kurdistan, there are currently two million refugees who have been displaced by the terrorist regime, Daesh — better known as ISIS.
A world away, a group of American Veterans struggle in the aftermath of serving in unresolved wars. In an effort to manage that struggle they have decided to pick up where foreign policy has left off. This is the story of Iraqi and Syrian refugees living in the shadow of ISIS, and a band of heroes returning to their former battleground to make a difference.
Follow the journey of Iraq War veteran Richard Campos, Vietnam Veteran Stan Rapada and Gold Star father Kevin Graves as they venture to the front lines of combat to witness the atrocities that ISIS has committed. During their adventure they’ll meet a Catholic nun and a Muslim heart surgeon (Dr Nemam Ghafouri) who will join forces with them as they strive for the betterment of these displaced people. Filmed over a period of three years, on two continents and in four languages, The Longest Road is “a breathtaking achievement in documentary filmmaking” and an “insightful look at the ISIS crisis that we aren’t seeing on the news.”
Funds raised will be donated to help refugees in Kurdistan in Iraq.
