Event description

Description

Sophy Roberts is an award-winning writer and travel journalist based in Dorset. A former editor-at-large for Condé Nast Traveller and special correspondent for Condé Nast Traveler in the US, her work has taken her to remote parts of the world where she has reported on wildlife conservation, threats to eco-systems and fragile cultures. A travel editor for The Economist 1843, and a columnist for FT Weekend and How To Spend It, Sophy will be discussing her first book, the recently published The Lost Pianos of Siberia. This literary work of non-fiction uses musical culture as a way to tell the story of Siberia and the Russian Far East.
