About this Event
Businesses must have a trading address within Greater Manchester. They must have a staff count between 1 and 250. Turnover must be below £42 Million. If the business is part of a group (holding companies/subsidiaries etc.) the total staff count and turnover must fall under the previously mentioned thresholds.
The aim of this course is to give you a practical guide to managing people at work. It does not matter whether you are a first time manager in a shop or a middle manager in an office environment; the same skills apply to every workplace. In the course you will engage with some HR theories and then see how they translate into every day working life.
We'll be covering:
- Managing mental health, employee welfare and absence.
- Avoiding discrimination and promoting diversity in the workplace.
- Employee engagement.
- Managing grievances and conflict.

Cost
The course normally £500, is available fully-funded to organisations who meet the eligibility criteria.
