Event description

Description

The NIHR Greater Manchester Clinical Research Network, Manchester Cancer and Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust presents 'The Manchester OG Cancer Research and Innovation Symposium'; an afternoon dedicated to OG cancer research.

What is the aim?
The symposium is an opportunity to showcase current and future regional and national studies from a range of clinical specialities. The event also aims to provide guidance for future research design and funding.

Who is invited?
The symposium is open to anyone with an interest in research and innovation related to oesophago-gastric cancer. It is free to attend, but will require registration due to limited capacity via www.ogsymposium.eventbrite.co.uk.

I have a study I want to tell others about
If you would like to present a study you have undertaken or wish to publicise or propose a forthcoming piece of research, please forward a short abstract (aims, methods, results/anticipated benefits and conclusions) of no more than 300 words to bilal.alkhaffaf@cmft.nhs.uk.

What is the programme?
The finalised programme details will be made available shortly. A preliminary programme is available here:

The symposium has been awarded 3 CPD points by the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain & Ireland.

Where will the event be held?
The symposium will be hosted at the brand new CityLabs complex at the heart of the CMFT campus, directly opposite the entrance to the new Grafton Street Car Park.

Where can I park?
There is ample parking available at the newly extended Grafton Street Car Park. Parking is available at a reduced day rate of £5 for all NHS staff. You will need to show your badge at the security office to qualify for this.

I have further questions
For all enquiries, please contact Mr Bilal Alkhaffaf, consultant surgeon at CMFT at bilal.alkhaffaf@cmft.nhs.uk.
