The Manufacturing Process Of Terpene Phenolic Resin

In many industries, such as adhesives, coating, inks and rubber, Terpene Phenolic Resin is a type of important material as tackifier, Such type of resin is made with acid catalysis, the phenol is heated with formaldehyde to become condensation compound, and than be alkylated with terpene, the proper temperature of reaction is between 95-210°C, when the temperature go up to 160-210°C, add some decolorising agent, it would be distilled to become lower boiling point content.
Such a processing method can make the TPR (Terpene Phenolic Resin) with light color, high softening point, well compatibility and other excellent features, TPR can displace tert butyl phenolic resin that is very expensive, can be widely used in adhesives, coatings, printing ink, electric wire, rubber & plastic.
