This year's roadshow has been expanded to include an event in collaboration with the Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Business. A limited number of tickets available to the Biznews Community for Alec Hogg's annual post-Davos presentation.

This is the Maritzburg (well, Hilton actually) leg of the four city roadshow.

The London-based Biznews editor returned to the Swiss Alps for his 16th time, picking up first-hand experience of this week-long gathering of the world’s most powerful business and political leaders.

This year he spent a lot of time following the South African delegation led by president Cyril Ramaphosa who was accompanied by all his heavyweight cabinet allies. Alec also got to spend quality and held in-depth discussions with some of SA's top business leaders including Naspers's Koos Bekker, Discovery's Adrian Gore, Sasol's joint CEOs and Absa's Maria Ramos and Investec's Stephen Koseff and Hendrik du Toit.

On top of that he engaged with global heavyweights to read the signposts on the direction of the major trends which will impact the world – and, particularly, the investment markets – in the 12 months ahead and thereafter.

In past years these annual reports back have helped those seeking early warning of the seismic shifts occurring in our rapidly changing world. The presentations have also delivered practical insights into how we (and our money) will be impacted.

From sustainability to the Fourth Industrial Revolution; from artificial intelligence to geopolitical tension, Davos is where it all gets uncovered first.

The World Economic Forum's 2019 edition promises to deliver more unique insights for the attentive observer.

The event will also include an update on the Biznews Global Share portfolio which has generated over 25% a year compounded returns since its creation in 2014.

The ticket price is quoted in Pounds Sterling to conform with Eventbrite's regulations - it is the equivalent of R250 for General Admission and R150 for Biznews Premium members.

This is a breakfast event. The presentation runs for an hour, starting at 8:30am. Registration and breakfast from 8am.
