Andy Poole as compere
Founder of Panic Magazine and Panic Music Awards, comedian and host Andy Poole is a force to be reckoned with and one of the most well-loved people on the local circuit.
The Mayor of Chelmsford is Cllr Linda Mascot. The theme for the Mayoral year is Bright Futures – focusing on supporting young people to become confident, successful and happy adults.
YMCA Essex is an inclusive charity rooted in local communities and working to build the lives, hopes and futures of disadvantaged children and young people.
Funds raised via this event will help YMCA Essex deliver a new landmark building – a high-quality supported housing facility for homeless young people aged 16-25, developed on the site of the existing YMCA Essex premises in central Chelmsford. This funding will significantly reduce homelessness amongst local young people, provide much-needed tailored support, and deliver real social value.
Chelmsford City’s homeless population is growing, despite the excellent work done by statutory and non-statutory services in this area. Currently, homeless young people make up the largest cohort requiring accommodation, and some of these young people are vulnerable, with very little support and with poor chances of achieving positive outcomes in their future.
This new building will represent a flagship facility for Chelmsford City Council, YMCA Essex and other partners providing much needed accommodation, support, capacity and sustainability for future local young people.
Donate to YMCA Essex and support their valuable work delivering a new landmark building, offering supported housing for homeless young people in Chelmsford
